- Im Gegensatz zu den Packwagen für Hauptbahnen besaßen die Pwi-29 nur eine Schiebetür und einen Zugang über eine offene Bühne. Alle 7 gebauten Fahrzeuge werden für den Triebwageneinsatz umgerüstet und gemeinsam mit den Personenwagen eingesetzt. Gerade im Winter wird viel Stauraum für das Wintersportgerät benötigt.
