Der ab Werk eingebaute Lok-Sounddecoder beherrscht die vier Datenformate DCC mit RailComPlus®, Motorola®, Selectrix® und M4. Der verbaute, größtmögliche Lautsprecher ist auf den Loktyp abgestimmt. Der Decoder verfügt über bis zu 23 schaltbare Funktionen. Viele loktypische Geräusche wie Motorengeräusch, Signalhörner, Bremsenquietschen, Rangiergang und weitere Geräusche wie z.B. Bahnhofsdurchsagen sind einzeln abrufbar. Das Schlusslicht ist separat schaltbar. Sound ist auch im Analogbetrieb möglich – nur Motorengeräusch.
