From the maker

Building on the success of the era-defining Dash 8 series, the General Electric-built Dash 9 is recognized as one of the most popular freight locomotives in modern history. Packing 4,400 horsepower, the Dash 9 has seen service with almost all class-one railroads, and can still be found leading priority road freights across North America. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this essential example of modern railroading to your Large Scale layout. Factory-equipped with DC control, the model features operating lights, exhaust smoke, and a plug-and-play circuit board for the addition of the control system of your choice.
