First appearing in the 1960s, the Bethlehem Steel 100 Ton Three-Bay Hopper quickly gained popularity across North America for its increased capacity and robust construction over previous designs. The Bachmann 100 Ton Hopper comes ready to run in a variety of authentic color schemes, representing examples from both the early days of their use and from later modern-era operators. Features include: • Authentic Bethlehem Steel design • Detailed, painted bodies with precision graphics • Separately applied air tanks, brake valve, brake wheel and bracing parts • Detailed chassis and underbody • Removable coal or stone load included • Optional modeler-installed weights for optimum tracking included (assembly required) • Interior wall braces for realistic empty car appearance included (assembly required) • Magnetically operated E-Z Mate® Mark II couplers • Detailed trucks with see-through sideframes • Blackened metal wheels with RP25 contours • Product Measurements: L 7 in., W 1.5 in., H 1.8 in. • Retail Package Measurements: L 10 in., W 1.7 in., H 3.5 in.
